Liposuction is a name given to the process of removing of excessive fat from the body through surgery. Patients who are ready for their liposuction surgery are told to stop smoking 2 months proceeding to their surgery.
The surgeon explains to the patient about the parts that they would be operated on. They usually do photograph secessions before and after the surgery to foresee the effects.
The recovery period from a surgery varies from patient to patient ranging from a period of 2 days to 2 weeks. Patients are prescribed pain killers to suppress any post surgerical pains that they are having, along with other necessary medicines. The patient will feel numb and swollen for a few weeks after the surgery. Most of the patients can get back to their normal working life in a period of eight to ten weeks.
